This Land shortlisted for acclaimed countywide business award

This Land, a provider of high-quality homes for the eastern counties, has been shortlisted for this year’s Cambridge Independent SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards.

The company, which works closely with its sole shareholder, Cambridge County Council, to deliver sustainable, long-standing community housing, is a nominated finalist in the awards’ Property Industry of the Year category. Shortlisted entrants have been assessed for their delivery of high-quality housing schemes that meet planning conditions whilst displaying a high level of innovation and environmental initiative.

Speaking of the nomination, David Lewis at This Land said: “We are delighted to hear of our shortlisting for this prestigious award. We continually strive to position ourselves as a well-respected provider of quality homes in and around Cambridgeshire, and I trust our nomination is recognition of that achievement. Innovation and sustainability are key to our delivery of attractive, long-term housing schemes that provide a sense of community whilst respecting a site’s heritage and landscape.”

Established in 2017, This Land prides itself on going ‘above and beyond’ a client’s needs and expectations to supply superbly-designed homes for the safe, efficient creation of new communities across eastern England. The Cambridgeshire-based company enjoys its status as a community-minded housebuilder, with inclusivity being among its priorities when providing schemes that add value to purchasers and stakeholders alike. Indeed, This Land is currently selling five sites to an affordable housing provider who will deliver 100% affordable housing schemes, totalling circa 136 new affordable homes across Cambridgeshire.

David Lewis continued: “What sets us apart from other housebuilders is our combination of community engagement activities and sustainability initiatives in the county. We shall continue to work alongside Cambridge County Council, local parish councils, ward councillors and planners to deliver housing that meets the requirements of residents and enhances the county’s environment.”

The winners of this year’s Cambridge Independent SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards will be announced at a ceremony being held at Cambridge Country Club on Thursday, October 13th.
