This Land has been selected for two categories in the finals of the 2023 SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards hosted by the Cambridge Independent.
It has been nominated for Business of the Year in the less than 50 employees category and Eleanor Crosland, development coordinator, has been nominated as a finalist in the Young Business Person of the Year award.
The Business of the Year, less than 50 employees, category recognises businesses that demonstrate outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination as well as sound management practices. The finalists have all achieved sustainable growth combined with a level of commercial success that is exceptional given their size.

The Young Business Person of the Year award acknowledges business people under 30 who have demonstrated a high degree of entrepreneurship, creativity and vision. The judges look for someone who has had a significant influence in their business and who has achieved planned objectives.
Commenting on reaching the finals David Lewis, CEO of This Land, said: “The SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards are very highly regarded and celebrate best practice among SME businesses. As a forward-thinking, design-led housing developer we always strive to achieve the highest possible standards in business management and housing provision, so are delighted to have reached the finals in two award categories this year.
“This achievement is a testament to the outstanding hard work and diligence exhibited by all our employees.”
Now in its seventh year, the SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards showcase the work of small and medium-sized businesses across the county. Other award categories include innovation, high growth and community focus, along with awards for the Best New Business and Employer of the Year.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 28 September 2023 at the Cambridge Country Club.
