This Land has hosted a highly successful community engagement event offering residents from Burwell the opportunity to discuss its new Millstone Park development.
The focus of the event which was held at Mandeville Hall, was to understand residents’ preferences on a range of exterior building materials such as bricks, render, windows, roof tiles and slates. The event also enabled This Land to discuss other factors that affect buyers purchase of a new home such as parking, maintenance, energy costs and ground floor room layouts.
With over 130 attendees on the day participating through a series of timed-appointments, This Land ensured the covid safety of those attending, and maximized the time they could spend with each visitor. The event was an outstanding success.
This Land also greeted Councillors from Burwell Parish Council who offered their own insights into the development and fed through questions from parishioners who could not attend. All visitors were active throughout the event, offering opinions on the various materials and design options presented on the day. Residents took the time to pose queries with equal interest that matched their elected representatives from the Parish Council.
Brenda Kibblewhite, Head of Sales and Marketing for This Land said. “The day exceeded our expectations with a hugely positive response from the community.”
The event follows a very successful and informative two stage archaeological dig with infrastructure works on the main spine road now progressing.
