New Chief Executive Officer officially opens This Land Showhome at Spiregrass Square

David Lewis, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of developer This Land™, has officially opened the company’s showhome at Spiregrass Square, their site at Over, Cambridgeshire.

David had been Acting Chief Executive Officer for the past 12 months but his appointment has now been made permanent. In his role as Chief Executive Officer, David cut the ribbon on the new four bedroom showhome, The Evergold. Once completed, Spiregrass Square will feature 53 two, three and four-bedroom homes, 21 of which are affordable homes to help meet the needs of the local district.

The showhome, like the other properties across the site, features high quality fixtures, fittings and finishes including tiling from Porcelanosa, sanitaryware from Roca and kitchens from ROK. An airy hall offers double door access to a spacious lounge, while the modern kitchen/diner ensures ample space for everyday living and family gatherings. On the first floor, four bedrooms are served by a family bathroom and one en suite.

“I’m delighted to have been able to cut the ribbon and officially open the showhome at Spiregrass Square,” said David Lewis. “This is an important project for This Land. It demonstrates our commitment to creating much needed quality housing across the region. Interest in the project is very encouraging and work is progressing on target with the first units due to be completed and handed over in the next few months.”

David Lewis, This Land CEO welcomes Graham Marfleet, MD of Marfleet and Blyth, Building Contractor

Construction of Spiregrass Square has been undertaken by contractors Marfleet and Blyth, of Colchester Essex. With quality builds and sustainable construction at the forefront of both Marfleet and Blyth’s and This Land’s ethos, This Land are proud to present their latest development. As part of This Land’s sustainability strategy, all properties, which already feature high levels of roof, wall and floor insulation, are equipped with air source heat pumps (ASHP). Air source heat pumps replace fossil fuel gas boilers as a more sustainable method of heating homes in an environmentally sensitive manner.
