This Land has commenced building work at Beach Farm, Landbeach on a scheme that will see the construction of two high end detached properties.
The Acacias on Green End in Landbeach is three miles north of Cambridge and has been designed to reflect the village location whilst offering the best of modern living. The two new homes will be constructed using traditional materials and feature buff brickwork, natural slate on the roofs and rendering to reflect the character of the surrounding properties.
Formerly an agricultural site, the existing farmhouse and agricultural buildings have been demolished and as much material recycled as possible to minimise landfill.
Work is now commencing on the construction of the two properties, with work expected to take 12 months to complete. The project represents another important milestone for This Land. As a Cambridgeshire-based developer, creating new homes across the region, the Acacias marks another project commencing, following on from their projects at Cityglades in Cambridge, Spiregrass Square in Over and Millstone Park in Burwell.
“I’m delighted to see work start on The Acacias,” commented David Lewis, Chief Executive Officer at This Land. “This is another important project for the company and demonstrates the commitment This Land has to creating quality homes across the region.”
Set back from the main road and benefitting from a private access road to the side, the properties – one four bedroom and one five bedroom – include detached garages and generous gardens.
Each of the homes will incorporate sustainable design and will benefit from air source heat pumps, heat recovery systems and underfloor heating.
